THE WAY OF THE HOUSE HUSBAND

 

The way of the house husband is a Japanese comedy slice of life anime. The mangaka named Kousuke Oono is the author and Chiaki Kon is the director of this anime. JC Staff Studio executed it. Up until now there is 10 episodes from 1 season and it was aired in the year 2021.

The way of house husband is a small  casual anime which is very enjoyable and funny. It does't have that much of a plot to it, but is very hilarious and enjoyable.

STORY

Tatsu a 38 year old adult man is the protagonist in this anime. He is not a common man but an Ex- Yakuza. He left behind his bloody yakuza life and is now a house husband who looks after his house and  loving wife  who has a good job . 

Now Tatsu lives a peaceful and quite life . But he still looks like a yakuza and people prejudges him and scared of him.

In short this is a story about Tatsu and his normal livelihood. 

 

CHARACTERS 

Tatsu : As I said above Tatsu - san is the protagonist in this anime. He was a ex- yakuza and known as the immortal dragon who now lives a  calm and quiet life. because of that he still looks like a  terrifying yakuza so people prejudges him. but he is a calm ,  peaceful person and doesn't like violence anymore.

More than that he is a fantastic house husband who does every work in his household with at most perfection. He knows everything and does everything. I loved this character. The character design is unique. he has this scary dead look in his face that scares most of the people, and also his sound is scary and deep too which only adds to his character.

The dangerous looking scary guy doing household works and hilarious  boomer things are soo funny.

And there are other characters like Tatsu's wife Miku. She has a job and is terrible in household works,Naturally Tatsu does all the works around the house.

And there is  Masa who is Tatsu's underling , he is a funny character too.and also Tatsu and Miku has a cat. some times story is about the cat and his daily life.

There are other characters too in this anime like Miku's mother and father, Tatsu's rivals, his boss and other people. But they have little screen time. but they are hilarious and fun too.

ANIMATION, SOUND AND OTHER THINGS.

Animation in this anime is kind of special I think. I doesn't have that much of an animation, It is kind of like images telling the stories. I don't know if I am missing something or  whether the studio did it on purpose or  was short on budget!. But there is nothing wrong in it though the anime is very much enjoyable.

The sound department was good.

Voice acting too, The famous voice actor Kenjiro Tsuda did Tatsu's voice and it is fantastic.  

OVERALL 

In my overall perspective ' The way of the Hose Husband ' is a very hilarious  casual ,slice of life anime. It has that something which we will laugh about , we doesn't have to burn our brain or something, we just need to shut the brain for sometime and watch and enjoy this anime without thinking anything.

The comedy scenes are nice . And the selling point in this anime is the Yakuza-househusband contrast , and they have utilized it very much.

This anime was popular when it first streamed on Netflix and I have seen some hilarious memes about it too.

There is some live action adaptation too in Netflix.

If you want a nobrainer funny , slice of life anime , this is one for you.
