Another golden anime from the isekai genre.
This anime will pull you right into that world and towards the main character.
Story and emotions are the main aspects of this anime.
Rising of the Shield Hero is slightly dark toned and emotional. I liked it very much .
STORY
Navomfumi is an ordinary Japanese boy, he is innocent and careless as every boy in his age.
Suddenly he got summoned to another world to become a hero. There are three other heros along with him. They came from other parallel worlds.
In this world there occurs a phenomenon, known as waves. During that time monsters attacks the people , villages and whatnot. The heros are summoned to defend them from this wave.
Navofumi didn't have any clue about these things. But others knew about these things from different source materials and they had a clue about what to and how the things work here in the new world.
Each Hero have a specific weapon given to them. Navofumi got a shield , which has the attributes like defencing and healing. And other heros got a sword, spear, and bow and arrow.
In that world people doesn't respect and hates shield hero. And the clueless Navofumi faces insults and neglect from the king.
Each hero leads a party of adventures and warriors.. and nobody wanted to join Navofumi's party. But at last a girl joins his party. But she betrayed Navofumi by stealing from him and accusing rape.
She was the princess of that country and she ploted against him to gain what she needed.
Poor Navofumi falsely accused of these charges and gets banished from the capital and gets ripped out of everything.
He had to face neglect, loneliness, false accusations. Everyone looked at him with hatred and no one helped him.
Navofumi decides to fight back and live at any cost.along with his loyal friends.
CHARACTERS
Navofumi: As you know he is the main character. He was such an ordinary boy who lived in peace.
After becoming a hero a huge burden drops upon his shoulders.
We can feel how betrayal , hatred, and loneliness changes Navofumi. Navofumi will swifly grab our sympathy.
Navofumi is smart and kind. He finds a way to overcome his weakness.. he finds love and affection and makes loyal friends.
Great character, I loved him.
Raphtalia : She is a demi-human. Navofumi bought Raphtalia from a slave trader.
She also faced the cruelty of life from a young age.
Navofumi bought her to become his sword, to overcome his weakness.
She is an excellent warrior, and cute too.
I loved their relationship.
Filo : She is originally a bird. But can attain the form of a human. She is cute and the story doesn't forces her cuteness.
And also a great warrior . She has a depth in her character.
These three are the main.
And there are other characters too.
Most of the characters are well written and deep. We will generate love and hatred to typical characters.
ANIMATION, SOUND AND OTHER THINGS
Awesome animation, the studio did a great job .
Fight sequences are nice and some stills are soo beautiful.
And also the songs are nice, bgm is good .
Voice acting was also good.
These things kept a standard of their own.
OVERALL
It was soo darker and emotional than I thought it would be.
Characters feelings felt like it was our own. Such a beautiful anime.
I didn't felt any lag or get bored by watching it. I was immersed in that world and characters.
You should definitely give it a try..
I loved this anime.
